Configuring PagerDuty

PagerDuty provides on-call schedule management, alerting and incident tracking. Receive real-time alerts in your flow and update the status of these alerts right from CA Flowdock by integrating PagerDuty and CA Flowdock. See it in action.

Note: The CA Flowdock service in PagerDuty is outdated and no longer in use. If you're upgrading your integration, please disable it in PagerDuty before enabling the updated one from CA Flowdock.

Follow these steps to set up the integration:

  1. Open the flow that you want to integrate with PagerDuty.
  2. Click the ellipsis icon next to your flow's name and select Integrations.
  3. Click on Add new on the PagerDuty row.

  4. Enter your PagerDuty domain name and click on the generated link to open your PagerDuty API keys page. Create a new API key to be used by CA Flowdock. The description can be whatever you want (e.g. "CA Flowdock"). Since CA Flowdock needs to create webhooks and can update the status of alerts, a read-only API key will not work.

  5. Copy the new API key and paste it into the API key field in the Flowdock PagerDuty setup window. Click on Continue.
  6. Select the PagerDuty services for which you would like to receive alerts in your flow.
  7. Click on Connect.

That's it. You should now be receiving PagerDuty alerts in your flow's team inbox. To remove an existing PagerDuty service from your flow, remove it from the flow's Integration settings.
